nah so far it's damn boring

I, on the other hand, find the show highly interesting.
If one doesn't grasp the protagonist's feelings I imagine the show feeling damn boring though.
He rejects his own nature, doubting anyone would like him for the person he is - while feeling close to some persons every once in a while.
He has reasons to believe they wouldn't like him once he drops all of his masks because.. because he experienced it in the past, over again and again and again.
Thus the fear to ever get too close with anyone again, the pattern is:
flying so close to the sun, leads to a fatal crash.
So his judgment stands, unless anyone like Henry can finally prove him wrong.
He's feeling ambivalent, hoping to be proved wrong..
and fearing to be as right, as usual.
This show is only getting better and better!
